CAIT: The TN Laws on Animal Cruelty and a Discussion of the Link between Animal Abuse and Domestic Violence

Thurs., Sept.15, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Room A118 Veterinary Teaching Hospital; This forum will cover existing laws on animal cruelty. The need and feasibility of cross reporting will be explored through published sources and the perspective of the legal system. Cross reporting is defined as communication between different agencies and organizations to report abuse or neglect in humans and/or animals. Presenters: Kelly Owen, Judge Bill Swann. NOTE: Because of the content and graphic nature of some pictures used during the forums, the organizers strongly advise that children not be included in the audience.
