Additional Requirements & Considerations

Please Note: The Admissions Cycle will begin again June 2008.

  • Supplemental Information Form

    This form is REQUIRED for admission to the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine.

    1. Please fill-in the SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FORM
    2. Click the SUBMIT button on the form.
    3. When you have successfully completed the form, you will be directed to our online payment area to pay the required $37.00 fee.

  • Animal/veterinary work experience
  • Recommendations/evaluations - You are strongly encouraged to go to the VMCAS electronic application (www.aavmc.org) and print the Confidential Evaluation Forms as soon as possible. These forms need to be completed and signed by your evaluators (letters providing additional information should be attached to the form). Preferably these evaluation should be returned to you in a sealed envelope with the evaluator's signature across the envelope flap.

You must submit three (3) separate Confidential Evaluation Forms to VMCAS.

  • Personal attributes
  • Extracurricular and/or community service activities
  • Leadership skills
  • Personal statement/ Essay
  • Knowledge of the veterinary profession
  • Evidence of preparation for a veterinary career
