UTCVM Hosts "Tennessee Welcome"
A new tradition was started this year on our campus... Orientation now includes much more than an opportunity to meet your professors and classmates! This year we invited students along with their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, husbands, wives, mentors and significant others to attend "Tennessee Welcome!" What is Tennessee Welcome? Tennessee Welcome is day designed to introduce incoming students and their guests to life at UTCVM. Our day started with a splash of orange and white balloons to welcome the Class of 2014 along with their guests in the brick foyer and hallway. Our faculty and staff along with the hosting Class of 2013 greeted these new faces at the door, offering a Tennessee Welcome. Once in the building we visited and got to know one another over breakfast and invited our guests whom were now organized into groups to attend “mini-vet school” classes, wet labs and tours. As the day continued, there were outdoor games and a Bar-B-Q. Tennessee Welcome is a wonderful opportunity for our new students and guests to mix, mingle, and laugh. Please help us welcome The Class of 2014!
