Current Graduate Students

Kelly Chameroy holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut and began her PhD program with Dr. Nicholas Frank in 2007. Her work focuses upon obesity and insulin resistance in horses.

Sarah Elliott is both a research technician for the CEVR and a Masters of Science graduate student with Dr. Nicholas Frank. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee and joined the research group in 2002.

Sarah Hurst holds Bachelor of Arts, in Biochemistry with emphasis in Analytical and Instrumental Chemistry from Maryville College, Tennessee and began her Ph D program with Dr. Madhu Dhar in 2008. Her work focuses on the study and validation of novel target proteins of obesity and diabetes.

Dr. Lisa Tadros received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University in 2007 and joined the CEVR in 2008. Dr. Tadros is working with Dr. Nicholas Frank and is investigating the link between intestinal disease and laminitis in horses. She is the recipient of the Wharton Graduate Student Fellowship and the Wells Graduate Student Fellowship.
