UTCVM Biologic Therapy
The University of Tennessee’s Veterinary Hospital offers biologic therapy for soft tissue and orthopedic injuries, such as stem-cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and interleukion-1 antagonist protein (IRAP®) therapy. These therapies can be used for common injuries of horses, such as tendonitis (bowed tendon) and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease [or DJD]).
