CE Online Overview

CE ONLINE OPTION: In addition to our regularly scheduled presentations for CE credit on campus, this year we are offering credit for CE presentations online. Some of the same lectures given on campus will be available online. The cost will be $40 per hour and the schedule and directions for registering can be found here.

You may choose to attend a live online session at the times listed below or you may elect to listen to an archived session anytime prior to December 20th. All archived sessions will be posted to the website 24 hours after the live online session.

The main difference between the live online session and the archived session is in the area of interaction with the speaker and the other attendees in real time. The interaction can take place in two different ways. The speaker may choose to poll attendees for opinions and the results will be immediately apparent to all participants. Also, an attendee may ask questions using a built in text message window during the presentation. All interactions during the live online session will be included in the archived session. At the end of the live and archived sessions, you will be directed to a website to take a short quiz over the lecture you attended online. Electronically submitting your answers to the questions and earning a grade of 70% or higher will be required for receiving CE credit. You may repeat the quiz, if necessary.

REGISTRATION MUST BE SUBMITTED for online attendance by November 15th.

Each presentation must have a minimum enrollment of four people. If a presentation does not have the minimum enrollment, then your registration fee will automatically be refunded and you will be notified promptly by email so that you can make other arrangements for CE credit.

Technical Requirements: Microsoft® Windows® 98 SE, 2000, XP, Windows Vista™ Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise (32-bit or 64-bit editions) Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Netscape Navigator 7.1 AOL 9 Mac OS X 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 Safari 1.1 or higher Mozilla Firefox 1.5 **For either system, audio will be required.
