RESIDENCY IN RADIOLOGY

This residency is accredited by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR). The objective of this three year program is to train the graduate veterinarian in the specialty of veterinary radiology with subsequent qualification for the ACVR board examination. The program is offered on alternate years and applications are made through the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians Residency Matching Program. The residency is a clinical training program in diagnostic radiology, special radiographic procedures, ultrasound, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine and computed tomography. In addition, there is structured didactic training in preparation for ACVR written board examination. The resident is required to complete a research project and report the results in a major journal.
