Frequently Used Tools:

Biopsy

Histopathologic descriptions and interpretations of biopsies submitted by referring veterinarians are typically reported 72 hours after submission.

Biopsy (all submissions, regardless of size or number of samples): $38

  • Single fee includes decalcification, multiple samples, large samples, 2nd opinions, "special stains" (histochemistry, not immunohistochemistry)
  • Results may be relayed by phone call, FAX and/or E-mail; final report may not be expedited

"STAT" Biopsy: + $25
Stat cases will be examined the day slides are produced by our Histology Laboratory and results will be relayed within 8 hours, either as a phone call, e-mail or faxed report (the final written report may not be expedited). This should reduce our turn around by at least 24 hours compared to routine biopsy submissions.

Immunohistochemistry

Per slide $45.00
Panel of 3 $120.00
Panel of 5 $200.00

Charges for staining done at other Laboratories (send outs to Pennsylvania, UC Davis) may differ.
