Biopsy
Histopathologic descriptions and interpretations of biopsies submitted by referring veterinarians are typically reported 72 hours after submission.
Biopsy (all submissions, regardless of size or number of samples): $38
- Single fee includes decalcification, multiple samples, large samples, 2nd opinions, "special stains" (histochemistry, not immunohistochemistry)
- Results may be relayed by phone call, FAX and/or E-mail; final report may not be expedited
"STAT" Biopsy: + $25
Stat cases will be examined the day slides are produced by our Histology Laboratory and results will be relayed within 8 hours, either as a phone call, e-mail or faxed report (the final written report may not be expedited). This should reduce our turn around by at least 24 hours compared to routine biopsy submissions.Immunohistochemistry
