UTVMC Now Offers Curbside Service!
UTVMC is offering a daily courier service to Knoxville and the surrounding areas for all your diagnostic needs. In addition to lab samples, veterinary practices may submit MRI scans, ultrasounds, radiographs and necropsies
(<= 25 lbs) to UTVMC Monday - Saturday through our courier service.

| Cut-off times for same day courier service can range from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm depending on the service area. Please call the General Call Center for more information. Call requests received after-hours may not be serviced until the following business day. | |||
Cancellation of Pick-up
To cancel a pick-up request, please contact the General Call Center before 5:00 pm Monday – Friday and before 12:00 on Saturday. Please note that if a service request is made but samples are not available at the time of pick-up, a service charge will still apply.
STAT Service
Please call the General Call Center at (865) 974-5774 to schedule a STAT pick-up. The turnaround time will be within 4 hours of collection. STAT pick-ups will be available Monday - Friday for a charge of $20.00. If a STAT pick-up is requested less than 4 hours of the clinic’s closing time, it is possible results may not be available for your review until the following day.
Courier Service Fee
There is an initial set-up fee of $30.00, which covers the cost of the collection box provided to your facility. The service rate is reduced to $7.00 for each additional service call made. There will be a $10.00 service fee for the first visit, regardless of the number of samples collected.

Observed Holidays for UTVMC Diagnostic Laboratory Service
