Submission Information

Please contact us prior to submitting samples (865-974-5645). Specimens should be accompanied by a Referral Laboratory Test Request Form, and deposited in the marked refrigerator outside of the Pharmacy, or mailed via UPS, Federal Express, or the US Mail to this address:

Serological tests for Toxoplasmosis are done on Tuesday and Thursday. Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora caninum serologies require an overnight incubation and results are reported the following day. Serum samples should be submitted to the laboratory by 2 PM for same day processing. Emergency service is available and all serological tests can be run for special cases if first discussed with parasitology personnel.
