Clinical Interests
Internal medicine with special interests in gastroenterology, endoscopy, and endocrinology. Specific areas of clinical interest include disease of the esophagus, particularly management of esophageal stricture, gastric ulcer disease, and pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. Current projects include investigation of Helicobacter infection in cats, dogs, and other species and the development of techniques using photodynamic therapy to treat malignant and pre-malignant lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in animals and humans. Clinical education of veterinary students and advanced training of veterinary medical residents is my professional priority.Publications
