Annual Conference Scheduled
Knoxville-- The UT College of Veterinary Medicine's Annual Conference for veterinarians and veterinary technicians will be held February 6-8, 2009 at the Marriott in Knoxville, Tennessee. Veterinarians attending all sessions (including the "Breakfast with a Professor" sessions) will be awarded a maximum of 20 continuing education credit hours. Veterinary technicians can be awarded a maximum of 10 continuing education hours.
Visiting Coughlin Professors presenting at the conference include Dr. David Polzin from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Wendy Vaala, formerly from the University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Kathleen Bonvicini from the Institute of Healthcare Communication. Dr. Joe Bartges is this year's Distinguished UTCVM Coughlin Professor. Three former UTCVM residents will also present: Drs. Robert McDonald, Jamie Bellah, and Sharon Witonski.
The SCAVMA/Alpha Psi Auction and reception will take place Friday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and Saturday evening we will celebrate 30 years of UTCVM graduates with class reunions for the classes of 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004.
