Grab it and Growl! Knoxville's Gone to the Dogs!
(Knoxville, TN)-- Sweltering heat aside, it really is the dog days of summer in K-Town! Dog Fancy Magazine has named Knoxville the most dog-friendly city in the southeast.
Thanks to the efforts of Knoxvilles Most Pet Friendly Community Committee, comprised of Young-Williams Animal Center, the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, PetSafe and others with an interest in animal welfare, more focus is being placed on fostering a culture of pet-friendly initiatives throughout the area. Two years ago, the committee launched an effort to make Knoxville and Knox County the Most Pet Friendly Community in America.
Now, don't fret, all you who are owned by cats. The same things that make Knoxville dog friendly, also help make it feline friendly! To learn about some of the ways the UT College of Veterinary Medicine works to make the area a more pet-friendly place, follow some of the links listed under Features in the bottom right corner of our website.
