Labs Without Borders: UTVMC Offers Online Ordering for Diagnostic Tests

(June 7, 2011) -- Not the friendly furry labs--but the friendly diagnostic labs at UT Veterinary Medical Center. Coming later this summer, referring veterinarians will have access to deeply discounted FedEx rates when sending samples to our diagnostic labs via our new online ordering system.

Whats New?

Ability to place online diagnostic lab orders: using the VolVet Portal, your clinic contact information will automatically appear on your order form (reducing time spent away from your patients)

You can combine multiple samples for multiple labs for multiple patients in one shipment (reducing your shipping costs)

Deeply discounted FedEx rates available to registered users who order online diagnostic tests

 

How to access the discounted rate

1.       Clinics must sign up for free VolVet Portal account

Visit www.vet.utk.edu and click on the VolVet Portal icon

Click the register for a portal account link on the left side of the webpage

Within 48 hours you will receive an email confirming your account and providing you with password information and information to complete your account registration. If you have any problems or questions, call (865) 974-8387 and ask for VolVet Portal Help or email.  

 

2.       Call to obtain unique your UTVMC FedEx user I.D.
