UTCVM's MRI Featured on Local Television

(Knoxville, August 4, 2009)-- X-rays and CT scans have been a staple in veterinary medicine for many years.  Recently the UT College of Veterinary Medicine added MRI to its arsenal.  In the past year, doctors at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine have performed more than 400 MRIs.  They've seen inside a bunny, pig, lion, tiger, and yes, a bear.  Dr. Katherine Haifley, director of UTCVM's Veterinary Imaging Services  was interviewed on WBIR's Live at Five at Four about the technology.
