Veterinary College Offers Support for Grieving Pet Owners

 

KNOXVILLE Coping with the death of a pet can often times be a stressful experience. Veterinary Social Work, a program of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, is offering the Pet Loss Support Group to help those experiencing the grief process. 

 

The group meetings are free and are designed for anyone whose pet has died or is terminally ill. During the summer, the meetings will be held the third Tuesday of every month from 6:15 p.m-7:45 p.m. on the UT agricultural campus at the Forest Products Center, 2506 Jacob Drive. The dates are June 16, July 21, and August 18. If you are interested, please contact the Veterinary Social Work office by email or phone at (865) 755-8839 for more information.
