Case 1
This is a 10 year old Thoroughbred Horse with a swelling of the left rear fetlock for 4 weeks duration. Left are soft tissue phase (left) and bone phase (right) images of the left rear foot and fetlock region. The scan indicates there is infection of the soft tissues and osteomyelitis (bone infection) of the proximal sesamoid bones. Below are radiographs of the same patient.
Case 2
Below are soft tissue phase (left) and bone phase (central and right) images of the left front foot of a 5 year old Quarter Horse with front leg lameness. The arrow points to the navicular bone which is abnormal.
