LITERATURE RESOURCES

Library resources available include the Pendergrass Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine Library housed within the York College of Veterinary Medicine Building, Hodges Library located on the main UT campus, and the Preston Medical Library, University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine located 1 mile from the UTCVM. A full time reference librarian is available in the Ag-Vet Med library. Various computer based services are available including medical databases (Medline, CAB, etc.), Web of Science, Current Contents, Current Awareness, Library Express, and Interlibrary loan. Most of these resources are available at no charge.

 

CLINICAL RESOURCES

The University of Tennessee Veterinary Teaching Hospital receives an average of 40 small animal patients, 10 large animal patients and 2-5 exotic animal patients daily. There is an average of 77 hospitalized patients in the hospital on any day. The radiology section performs between 7000-8000 radiographic procedures per year. The breakdown on the types of procedures performed are listed below:
