Specialties & Facilities
The UT Veterinary Medical Center has as its purpose the education of students, interns and residents by providing exposure to a wide selection of clinical experiences and guidance from expert faculty. Patients treated at the College's Veterinary Medical Center provide students with a sampling of the cases that a private veterinary practice would experience.
The most advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities are available in the College's three clinical areas-small animal, large animal, and exotic/zoological animal medicine and surgery. These clinics are staffed by board-certified specialists, residents, and interns, and are supported by licensed veterinary technicians. Hospitalized cases are discussed daily in clinical rounds with students, house officers, and senior faculty.
