University of Tennessee Master of Public Health Program

The MPH Program at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville was the first nationally accredited program outside of a school of public health and has maintained full accreditation since 1969. Students may focus on one of three concentrations:

  • Community Health Education
  • Health Planning and Administration
  • Veterinary Public Health

The veterinary public health concentration was developed between the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine (UTCVM) and the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Students enrolled in the veterinary curriculum may also enroll in the MPH program as a parallel degree program. Many required courses are offered in the evenings or summers. Graduate veterinarians enrolled in the program may still be able to work a full-time job.
