A full-day workshop presented at the World Congress of Veterinary Anesthesia as a pre-congress opportunity

Tuesday, September 16th, 2003
Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Participants will attend a series of lectures in the morning session which will prepare them for the afternoon “hands on” laboratory sessions.

WORKSHOP TOPICS WILL INCLUDE: 

An Overview of Regional Blocks Post Operative Care
Pharmacology of Local Anesthetics  Nerve Mapping
Equipment Anatomy of Regional Blocks

The wet lab, which will be conducted at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Tennessee, will include:

Epidural Blocks & Catheter Placement Psoas Nerve Blocks
Intrapleural Blocks Femoral Nerve Block
Brachial Plexus Block Other blocks (as time permits)

Workshop begins at 8am, sharp, on Tuesday, September 16th, 2003 and should conclude by 4pm. Transport from the WCVA headquarters hotel to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital will be provided.

Maximum Participants = 25 (first come first served basis)

Registration Fee for entire workshop: 

  • House Officers (residents/interns) $ 75 USD
  • Veterinarian, MD, faculty $100 USD
